High temperature Basaltic Glass Fiber
STM developed a process to get stone wool by using almost the same system used for glass wool. This means the use of special drilled spinner, Patented By STM, and a special internal combustion burner. The result is a very fine fiber which does not contain any shots, with the same temperature resistance of standard stone wool ( 1000°C ) , but with the same properties of glass wool like low density and thickness recovery of the finished product.
